What do you like about our brand?

I love Star Stuff Boutique's beachy festival vibes! As a bright pink mermaid, you know I like to stand out, and when I'm wearing SSB I feel EXTRA! Everything is dripping in jewels and crystals- just the way I like it! 

 

Where does your mermaid name come from?

My real name is Julia, so of course 'Jules' is a nickname I often go by. I thought the name Mermaid Jules was a perfect fit for my mersona because it sounds like a bubbly princess name and because I love jewels and all things that sparkle! 

 

What is your favorite product from our brand?

This one is hard because I have SO many amazing pieces by SSB that there is no way to decide!! I love ALL my crowns because there is such variety in color, style, and height. My seashell top with dangling chains has a gypsy mermaid feel that is perfect for the festivals I attend! And of course, I gotta have my sunnies- bedazzled with shells and crystal quartz!

 

What inspires you to live the mermaid life?

Living in Florida, I grew up surrounded by water- pools, beaches, springs & everything in between. My younger cousin dubbed me "Julie Fish" because I spent more time in the water than out. When I discovered realistic swimmable mermaid tails as an adult, I absolutely had to get one! Every time I swim with my tail in the ocean, it's like my childhood dream has come true. And every time I perform at a kid's party or public event, I can make others' dreams come true! I've always loved performance art and it's exciting to embody a powerful, feminine creature of the sea. Whether you meet me in person or find my photos on Instagram, my goal is to bring a little magic into your life and revive that childhood sense of imagination. Short answer: Mermaids have more FUN! 

 

What do you love about the ocean?

I love to be completely emerged in the underwater world; diving is like visiting a whole new planet with lifeforms that are so different from us, perfectly equipped to maneuver and thrive in their underwater environment. The ocean is teeming with beautiful life of all colors, shapes and sizes, and there yet there is still so much left to explore and discover!

 

What state is your grotto in?

My grotto is in Sunny South Florida!

What are your dreams/goals for this year?

My goals are to get out in the community as much as possible, locally and globally making appearances in my mermaid tail! I love meeting new people when performing at festivals and I love stunning people when I'm photographing in public. If you see me, be sure to say hi!
